Perhaps we need a word for making all slides accessible from the top of the instrument, say "Marzanation".
Otherwise, if we call slide-pulling "compensation", I've got a Marzan CC that'll compensate you to death. Although the tone is great, it's my least favorite horn because of the extensive slide manipulation required to get it to play in tune. There are horns that are easier to play and sound just as good.
