I dunno, but it sure starts early. My son and his cartel of tuba-playing pals (B.O.T.T.O.M., or Brotherhood Of Tuba-Tooting Obstreperous Men) have been hanging tight since 5th grade. I feel like a foster parent. The dogs get nervous when they all come over with their instruments. When the B.O.T.T.O.M.-feeders are here for meals, it's an adventure. And when one kid is hurting, the others rally 'round. The kids are all different from a personality perspective, but they are all highly intelligent and have a huge sense of fun. I thank the powers that be that he plays the tuba.
If you are scrambling for a dictionary, behold the definition of obstreperous. I believe it's right on both counts.
