I performed this work on one of my DMA recitals. We---Bruce B playing piano and I---did it at Cal State San Bernardino and at USC when I was also a faculty member at Cal State. I have done the work at one of our Big Brass Bashes and Chris Olka has done likewise. I have never heard it under the composers tempo except with band--Tommy's recording with the USC Wind Orchestra. Bruce wanted it right on the metronome mark when we performed it together.
