One of my formwr private students was done an injustice that seems to be to common these days. At the end of 4 years, he was told, "That's it for the scholarship and by the way you are still a year away from getting your Bachelor's Degree." It seems all those extra music ensembles earned a few credits, but they didn't fill the curriculum requirments. It seems some advisors aren't paying attention to the educational needs of the students. A Music Ed degree has become a 5 year program at many colleges. Let's face it. How many Business group ensembles are there to distract a Business Major from getting the degree?
And why is the cost of a college education exceeding the inflation rate? Matt
