I played in the Vermont NG band, and it was great. I also was in the AZ and had a good time, they had some political struggles with in the band at the time. Different units do things differently. In VT one weekend a month usually. that counted as 4 4hour services. In AZ. most of the player were in Phoenix so they had weekly rehersals or perfomances, each tuesday night was 1 4hour rehersal or a performance. Worked great around school. helped pay some student loads. valuable professional playing experience early in my career. I signed up when I was 17 (with parents permission)
