Great advice on getting into the schools early. I've heard a lot of people say that one semester of student teaching just doesn't cut it. Here, I begin with a teacher aiding practicum during sophomore year. That will put me right in the middle of a classroom for most of a semester, working with kids and doing some teaching, even. My advisor told me that he usually tries to stick the sophomores in with junior high students, just to make sure they really want to keep on going...hehe.
