Since false tones are not well-slotted by the instrument, one MUST develop incredible embouchure stability in order to produce them well. (ya think?)

Early on when Gene Pokorny played in the CSO, he had Joe Marcinkiewicz make him a CVSM (Charlie Vernon survival mouthpiece). I have no idea what he is currently using.

Gene argued that on a decibel meter, the false tones (for him, at least, and/or perhaps for Mr. Jacobs) actually registered higher than the "real" tones. If one mastered the false tones (focus and tone quality), they could make more racket with less brassiness (as I understood his thinking and comments at the time).
