A tuba sounds differant than other basses. I really love the tuba sound. I know alot of the rest of you do too and in many types of music I prefer tuba sound over other basses. As long as we are out there promoting tuba it will grow. I have 3 children (the oldest is 6) and when they are old enough to want to learn to play I will encurage them to. They might not want to play tuba because they have heard it too much already but I hope they play something brass.
