Thanks to everyone who responded, publicly and privately. You have given me encouragement and many possibilities. I wonder why, though, south Florida is ignored by instrument makers? The last time I went to an exhibition of instrument makers was (gasp) in 1969!! It was in Daytona Beach. Since then, the only other ones have always been in Tampa or Alabama.
