The Wilson plays very well. But like you said, it is quite expensive. You rarely see these for sale used. Another very good option is the Yamaha 632. I think that one plays as well as and projects as well as the Wilson. It isn't nearly as heavy. But it is a compensating four valve with the fourth in the left hand. You periodically see 632's for sale used, which I would recommend since the new price has jumped to more than a Wilson on the major online music stores.
Another really good little EEb is the yamaha 321. It looks like an oversized baritone. All four valves in the right hand. It is not compensating though. It does project like crazy. Good luck.
