Well I play CC Eb and F, I borrow my brothers Eb from time to time and it really doesn't throw me. Each tuba feels different in my hands and each tuba sounds different in my head so I guess my brain goes with the differences. I don't think about it, I just let it happen. Of course you are a little clumsy when you FIRST pick up the new key. what I did was force my self to play them in a band situation, I did each seperately untill I felt comfortable, then I would switch, playing a different horn for a different group. (ex Wind Ens.-CC, quintet-F, brass band-Eb) It was tough at first but now I am pretty comfy on all of them, I must admit though when I don't play one of them for a long period they do get "rusty" but after a few days back on it, it is fine again. You just have to keep visiting each horn, don't let any of them get too lonely. ;^)
