I have not played a St Pete but my experience with their BBb's tells me that you will have workmanship issues.
I have owned a Cerveny Eb, Miraphone Eb (183-4? (4 rotor)) and currently use a Besson 983. Both the Cerveny and Miraphone are small, very bright (euphonium like sound) Eb tubas. Their sound was not what I liked, the Besson 983 is what I like to play and my ears like to hear.
I still own the Miraphone, but am willing to part with it if anyone is interested.
My humble opinion.
Just remember it's really up to you and the sound concept you want.
