If we are talking a temporary "cover-up" using a 90G take whatever euph mpc you have, if the 90G has a bass bone sized receiver.
If it has a tenor bone sized receiver, then do not go for a 3G with small shank. Take the VB #3 plain, which one of the best tenor bone mpc's ever made. I once had one (SOLD by the student, who had it on LOAN). Its backbore had been opened.
The reason that I do not use it, is that VB does not offer the versatility offered by the DW 4AL, 4AM, 4AY, 4BL, and 4BS variants. I own all of these, and use them right now all but for the 4BL. All the of backbores of course have been opened.
