true, that's the same thing the bone pros tell me when I complained ;)
With slide as my 'secondary' it would just would nice to have an 'exact, immovable' spot to tune from. I subconsciously want to adjust my second position up or down slightly to match the A, as oppossed to just keeping it 'there' and moving the tuning slide.
General position guide for trombone novices: first - all the way in. eighth - pick the slide up off the floor, dummy, there are only seven!
