There are some very good (and expensive) tuba straps available and I'm sure someone will post a link... but my cheap nature dictates that I snatch shoulder straps from duffle bags to get the job done. The shoulder strap that came with the case for my new Dell notebook works, too. I like to use a strap even when playing in a sitting position. It helps keep the from rolling off your lap while riffling through a music folder or using both hands to oil valves.
