Well, I haven't verified this myself, but I talked to someone who has recently played this horn (who wishes to remain anonomyous(pardon the spelling)) and he told me that the low F# and G are abnormally difficult to blow as well as the low C is very flat compared to the rest of the notes and in general it plays out of tune. As far as the condition of the horn, most of the finish is gone (which isn't a huge deal) and the linkages on the rotors have been replaced with miraphone ones. I also heard that it was made around 1976. My source had a few other notable players play the horn (one in atlanta and one in alabama whose names I will not post because I have not asked permission to post them)and they thought it was aweful. It needs about 2grand worth of work to be back to par and is considered to be worth perhaps 5 grand or so.

that's what I know, hope I didn't step on anyone's toes
