I have a Miraphone 181 F and it is one of the better horns as far as the low C is concerned for playing well and when I was using a Miraphone C4 for the mouthpiece I had to play around a lot in order to get it to sound nice. I got a pat sheridan f 3 from dillon and it cleaned it up pretty well. It's not always the horn that has the problems, often it's the player. I'm not sayin that to sound stuck up but do a lot of listening while working on that note, even if you have to do something that you would consider 'weird' to get the note out it doesn't really matter. Anyone that follows Jacobs knows that it's about sound, not feel. If it sounds good do it!
