Steve,
I'll make a carpal tunnel suggestion, based on what headed it off at the pass for me.
Two things: I learned to use the mouse left-handed (not as hard as you think) and I put the keyboard in a very different place than the standard.
Most people have the keyboard close to their body, and they suspend their hands over it. I lay mine on the table at arm's length and rest my arms on the desk. This really works, because the wrists are at a much more ergonomically comfortable angle, for me anyway. Even my elbows are on the table. I arrived at this from having played piano all my life...pianists don't scrunch up to the piano and bend their wrists funny! They reach out to the piano and have the wrists at a reasonable angle. They should get carpal tunnel if anyone does, but you don't hear about it a whole lot. Must be something to that position that works.
MA
