The Executive Committee of the Int. Tuba-Euph. Association is honored to announce a 30th Anniversary Celebration honoring the great tuba artist & pedagogue HARVEY PHILLIPS on SATURDAY, MAY 31ST at the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana (USA).

May of 2003 is the 30th anniversary of both the 1st ever Int. Tuba Conference hosted at IU in 1973 by Mr. Phillips, and also the founding of the Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association (now ITEA). During this important and historical conference, the Association's Constitution was written and its officers elected. Phillips brought togather for the 1st time, most, if not all, of the world's tuba artists and their composer friends to show the world what this instrument could do. It set the standard and tradition of the semi annual Int. Tuba-Euphonium Conferences that take place today.

To honor Mr. Phillips and to celebrate the Association's 30th Anniversary, we invite you to participate in a celebratory day of events honoring this important milestone and great man of the tuba.
