Steve,

I have a Cerveny four rotary valved upright euphonium in C, and it is shipped with a second main tuning slide to put it into Bb I love this horn. It has a glorious sound, and the Cerveny craftsmanship is first-rate. It's built like a tank. There are some intonation problems, and I would not recommend this horn to anyone unless they had a good knowledge of alternate fingerings. It takes a little face time on this horn to get it tamed. The low C is particularly troublesome because it's very flat compared its octave above. I've never run across an open bugle with this problem. The horn ships with a euroshank 11 CL mouthpiece, but I get better tonal and intonation results with a shaved shank Schilke 52D.
