This piece has been recorded by Phil Sinder on his CD, Aerodynamics. It is available from Mark Records - MCD-1701. I think it demonstrates the lyrical, songlike capabilities of the tuba quite well. It is also an excellent study in the art of phrasing. However, you are correct, the piano part is quite difficult - as would be expected from such a composer.
