I had a PT4 for several years. I think the B&S rotor horns are among the best money can buy but you have to keep them clean meaning taking them apart on a regular basis like at least 1-2 times a year. That is what I did and my horn always worked great. I would also recommend another thing as well. I have noticed some people will bring a can of pop to rehearsal and drink while playing. I think tis is about the worst thing anyone can do to a horn. I am not saying that you do this but I have seen some do it and it is a really good way to freeze up those valves real quick. Always drink only water when you play and learn to carefully clean you rotors yourself to save money or take it in on a regular basis and they will work just fine. The weight of oil you use might be a factor too.
