Actually the price was listed at 80,000 Yen for the extra plating.
The 842 lists for 730,000 yen and the 642 for 530,000
Yen is around 120 to the $ right now.
Anyhow, these are their current Japanese "home market" prices. I don't know how much discounting goes on, but it's probably fairly safe to think that it's cheaper to buy the instruments here than there.
