Personally, I think the 3/4 is superior to the 4/4 in terms of overall useage. They are incredible tubas and you would be surprised as to how much sound you can produce with one. They are very clean and focused sounding tubas. Play many of them and choose the best one for you. I do like the idea of having both the 5/4 and 3/4!
