Well, this past weekend I frove down to BW to check out some large CC's. Here are my thoughts on the horns I played-

Rudy 5/4- This felt 'loose' in the low range, kind of like a car that hasen't had the shocks checked in a couple years. The Rudy felt like it could go anyway I pushed it and had the most colorful sound.

Wilson 5/4- It played 'tight',(just like the Rudy played loose) and the low range popped out, but I had to treat the horn with 'just the right touch' -delicately almost, or the horn would fight you. Sounded a bit bright as far as big horns are concerned, but played very well in tune

MW 2165- By far the biggest and darkest sound, but the low range needed some work. the low/pedal Ed, D and Db needed some coaxing and required A LOT of air.

just my $0.02
