Tim,
BUY THE ALBUM NOW. It has just released on cd: Capitol7243 5 84646 2 7. I wrote a blurb on this board about a month ago abou it. It is far-and-away the best Christmas thing I have heard in years. Screaming trumpets, mellophones, bones, and TUBA. The players are Clive Acker and Al Pollan and they sound great throughout. There is an extra bonus on the cd. A never before released Maynard session from 1960 called Christmas for Moderns. It's a keeper for the vocals on "Silent Night" alone. More like "Drug Induced Coma Night". This is a righteous cd. Brass playing with a big fist in the sound and no apologies for being big and brassy. Herseth it ain't, but we already have enough of that Master. Enjoy!!!!!!

Chuck
