GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP IN TUBA at the University of Colorado at Boulder

POSITION: Graduate assistant in tuba pursuing the Master of Music or Doctor of Musical Arts degree beginning Fall 2004.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completed bachelor's degree (or completed MM for DMA program) before August 2004; acceptance into the Graduate School.

DUTIES: Rehearse and perform with the graduate brass quintet, perform in university ensembles as placed, studio and/or classroom assistance as required.

STIPEND: Approximately $6000 for nine months, six hours of tuition waived each semester (current nonresident tuition for six hours is $5544 per semester)

The University of Colorado College of Music has excellent facilities including an outstanding research library and a new large ensemble rehearsal facility. Approximately 320 undergraduates and 200 graduate students are currently enrolled on the Boulder campus. Many students earn extra income in area orchestras, chamber ensembles and other performance opportunities in the Denver / Boulder area.
