If you are only going to play in a good sized orchestra...and you have an f or eb tuba, I might go with the pt6p.
However, I would take a HB 2p over that pretty quickly if you need an all round veristal instrument. I like the tone color of these instruments very much. Of course, I am a bit partial because I did buy a HB over the PT. That was several years ago and I don't regret the extra cost and I still own it without complaint (aside from needing to get the 3rd valve slide cut to bring the Eb in tune!).
