And sign your name; it is hard to take you very seriously when you try to pass off your opinion as factual information AND hide your name. Many here will agree with you, but many will disagree. I have stripped all of my tubas. I have found that it makes no difference with some horns and a massive difference on others. Since lacquer is of varying qualities and application techniques vary from place to place, that makes some logical sense to me. I have never had the sale of an instrument harmed by its having been stripped. In a few cases, it added value.
