Both of these amazing musicians will be used to hearing/playing the Suites in the original octave, and would likely question your reasoning for playing them down the octave.
I would think that the John Williams should be played on any instrument you can sound great on. Now, if you are considering taking the Bach Suites down the octave, should you really be considering playing the John Williams, which is generally more techincally challenging on any instrument? That being said, I think you would be working much to hard to pull off the Williams on anything but a bass tuba (Eb or F).
