I have shipped many tubas and sousaphones via Greyhound Express with no problems. Their freight goes 'space available' but I've never experienced any delays... not saying there might be a problem around the holidays. The price is right... about $40 per large package. The only problem I can see is the liability limits which I think is only $300. Make certain the instruments you ship via Greyhound are covered under your homeowners as 'property off premises' or under your business policy.
