I actually had no real problems with picking up CC and BBb fingerings in rapid succession despite 40 odd years of trumpet/clarinet/ sax fingering. Practice rapidly turns the fingering into a reflexive action when you use a given horn. Interstingly enough I found that leaping back to trumpet/ sax music (both on the treble cleff) from the bass cleff used on the tubas caused me far more mental anguish. Both at once (as on the piano)- no issue. Tuba to trumpet; chaos. Still, practice makes perfect (actually should be amended to "makes mediogre" in my case).
