Still, could that mean that (assuming a $3500 - $4000 high bid on a like-new Hirsbrunner silver compensating model) that the playable low Eb, Db, C, and B are worth (mathematically speaking) roughly $500 per note to euphonium players?

In comparison, a like-new 4/4 4-piston Hirsbrunner silver CC tuba wouldn't sell for way less than half of the amount of a completely-similar 4-piston/1-rotor Hirsbrunner CC tuba... (still fascinated)
