Hands down the Audio-technica Pro 35X microphone. Instead of clipping it on the bell of the tuba I just drop it down inside of the bell.
Try one of these mics out, they are fantastic. Don't let the name scare you, I thought that at first but after trying them out I was hooked. I have scince went to a UHF wireless system with this, also fantastic and several hundred dollars less than a Shure system.
