Play BBb if money is an issue and you're not a pro nor planning to be one, because everything else being equal they are less expensive and can sound identical to a CC.
I would love to see someone marching with a Sarrusaphone, but it's tough on the double reeds. Has anyone actually ever seen someone play a sarrusaphone? I would imagine it sounds like a sick saxophone, if that's possible.
