In the old days, when this was known as the Canadian Brass CB-50, they use to include a Jacobs mouthpiece with it. Those who designed the horn, Bob Rusk with Chuck Daellenbach loved the combination. While I play a G-50, I use a variety of mouthpieces (depending on the sound I want) but find myself using the Jacobs mouthpiece three quarters of the time. When I thin the sound down, I'll use a Conn Helleberg (for a little) up to a Schilke 62 (to really kill the fundemental). Even Mr Jacobs didn't use it for everything but he thought it was a great match for the horn.

OK, you all know I sell the Jacobs MP, yep I use it with the G-50 but seem to use different mouthpieces with other horns I own. The G-50/Jacobs MP combination works!
