Is there any (quantifiable, explainable) relationship between a mouthpiece and pitch?
For example, if a mouthpiece is shallow or has a smaller opening (or some other distinguishing feature) can it predictably sharpen or flatten the pitch?
Is there any way of explaining or predicting the effect of different kinds of mouthpieces (other than by trial) on the pitch of certain notes or ones ability to play in tune?
