I know that there have been a couple postings here and there wondering about the use of a large F in a concert band setting. I have always been skeptical of this arrangement, but I had an experience that has changed my mind somewhat. Last weekend I was able to play in a section with Scott Norberg. He played the entire concert on his 45 and was amazed how well the sound went with a couple larger Bflats and CC's. Of course, maybe it was just Scott's ability, but either way, it really added some nice color to the section. Bravo Scott!!!
