I live in the seattle area and was lucky enough to find out about the WIBC feature of Pat and Sam this past weekend. One of my students mentioned that he was playing at WIBC, and that the guest clinitions were Sam and Pat.
I've been lucky enough to hear both of these individuals about once a year for the past eight years, and I have to say they just keep getting better. They did a masters class on breathing, that I have watched slowely turn into the breathing gym over time, and it's great. Great information, and everytime I see their presintation of the material I walk away with something new to think about with my own playing.
If you ever get a chance to hear them play live, do it!!!
Two really amazing musicians playing tuba, and putting on a great show.
Most of the people in the audience had no idea tuba players could do the things that they were doing, and I have to say the students and band directors that were sitting around me seemed to be more than impressed.
Thanks to Pat and Sam for making tuba look, and sound so great at WIBC.
