You used to work with the instruments in the Cal Band at Berkeley? Did you see the Cal Band's Sousaphones on Saturday in the telecast of the game between Cal and Stanford? Man, those silver-plated sousas were really polished and shiney. What kind of sousas does Cal use? They are beautiful.
