I remember when that happened to me... before a rehearsal I was practising, and playing that Bb... my section mate turned to me amazed and said "that's a high b-flat!" I'd never been prouder.
the first time I played an octave above middle c with any semblance of tone quality, too, was pretty amazing for me.. but nobody was around to hear it, and I haven't done it since. :(
