Looks like what they did exactly. Even more amazing is the number of sites that have done the same thing. Buried somewhere in my books, I've got the old green-cover trombone version of this.
The big benefit of the trumpet version is that it can be used as a key-independent method. Simply use trumpet fingerings no matter what the key of your tuba. Same for any of the traditional brass literature--easy to find and the trumpet version's cheaper.
