I've seen and heard of a couple of the Kings that had construction problems. They were rejected by the dealer and sent back to the factory, where they were presumably repaired and sent out again to someone else.
Some of the Kings are quite stuffy in the fourth valve, but not everyone cares about or notices such things. And such subtleties might be lost on beginners in a school setting.
