My father purchased it for me when I was in HS. It was new, mfg'd probably '78 or '79. Unfortunately, My dad isn't around to ask anymore, and I don't think Mirafone sold enough of these instruments to continue making them. Five valve tubas seem to exist only as CC, Eb or F tubas now-a-days. It is a magnificent tuba, still looks good and the 5th valve really makes for impressive low-end extension. Good luck in your search. I have NEVER seen another like mine.
