I have the DT-3 and I tried an AT120 for a few days. While the AT120 definitely is a better tuner, locking onto low notes easier, it is much more expensive and is bulkier (it doesn't fit on my stand).

An unexpected advantage of cheap tuners (including the Yamaha and Seiko models) is that they don't respond to low notes lacking a solid fundamental component. If you try to play a low note with poor tone, the tuner just ignores you below a G or so, but with good tone it quickly locks onto D's and C's. It's a critic that silently expresses its opinion.
