I know this isn't SousaNET but…
I've been given an old, kind of beat up Martin sousaphone. The mechanical portion of the horn is in surprisingly good condition with one exception. The valve stems are abused and bent and all in all destroyed. Where can I find information and/or parts for this horn? I'm looking at this as something to occupy my time during those long, dark Michigan winter nights.
To get you started, the serial number on the second valve body is 189765. A couple of serial number/age cross reference charts I have come across on the web for Martin brass instruments list serial numbers with only 5 digits. If anybody has any information that they think might be useful please post it or email me directly.
