Hi,

If you know all the fingerings and how to construct the major and minor scales, I think it is best to work them out for yourself, itīs the best way to learn them and get REALLY familiar with them. The scales are a basic fundament for every musician (but I think this doesnīt sound new to anyone here), and you should be able to play them by heart and without thinking.
If I am not able to play a scale "from the guts" I try to construct it in my head while playing it rather slowly. And by adjusting the metronom faster and faster, I can force myself to "think faster". Itīs a (in my opinion) good way get really familiar with the scales and their construction.
