Hi there,

I have a mouthpiece dilema. I have a Meinl Weston 2165 and I love the way it plays and the consistancy it has across the horn. I am currently using a Pat Sheridan O1 mouthpiece which is rather large. The horn naturally has a good deal of resistance (more than any of the other horns I used to own) which I can either a)work against or b)use in my favor. I have an R&S HH1 which I have modified by drilling out the throat to eliminate more resistance. It helped for my upper range but my lower range is suffering. It doesn't have a nice sonorous organ sound. It is rather flat and somtimes hard to focus. I am thinking of moving to a smaller mouthpiece since I have read about success with the smaller mouthpieces on bigger horns. Would anyone suggest I go with a smaller mouthpiece due to the problem I am experiencing? Help me! :) thanks!!

Todd
