The Mississippi Brass, a quintet comprised of the brass faculty at the University of Mississippi, is performing a concert at Meek Auditorium on the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, Mississippi on Monday, November 15th at 8:00 P.M.

The concert will consist of the following works:


*Fancies, Toyes, and Dreames Giles Farnaby (ed. Howarth)
(a collection of Renaissance songs and dances)

*Morning Music David Sampson (pub. 1990)

*A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square Maschwitz / Sherwin (arr. Gale)

*Fanfare for a Joyful Occasion Thomas Beveridge (pub. 1988)

*Street Song Michael Tilson Thomas (pub. 1997)

*Blue Rondo a la Turk Dave Brubeck (arr. Hendricks / Morden)


Admission is free and open to the public. Oxford, Mississippi is located in northwestern Mississippi, and is a do-able commute from Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham, and Jackson TN or MS. The members of the Mississippi Brass include
