Okay, now for the simple answer:

Go out to your nearest Radio Shack and buy one of those decibel (the analog one because the digital one is more expensive and doesn't do the job well enough anyway) I think they are around $30. They're called "Radio Shack Sound Level Meter."

Play around with it first because you need to figure out where your basic sound level lies. (Try the 80 first.) I'm sure you're a smart enough lad/y to figure it out.

Put the puppy on your stand, turn it on and close your eyes and play the note. Open them when you think you are playing "loud". THEN play the same note with the best "like Arnold Jacobs" sound you can muster (with your eyes closed of course) then open them when you have your desired sound.
